1957 Chevrolet Bel Air

This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible was acquired by the seller's father out of Colorado in 1981, and it was refurbished a few years later, during which the 283ci Turbo-Fire V8 was updated with dual-quad carburetors and a Duntov camshaft. Finished in red over red and gray vinyl upholstery, the car is equipped with a white convertible top, a two-speed automatic transmission, wheel covers, whitewall tires, power brakes, power steering, a retro-style head unit, aftermarket speakers, front and rear lap belts, auxiliary gauges, a red top boot, and a white tonneau cover. The Powerglide automatic transmission was rebuilt in 2023. Features include twin wind splits, hooded headlights, a driver-side mirror, gold-colored trim, aluminum quarter-panel trim inserts, a power antenna, reverse lights, a fuel filler concealed above the left taillight, and chrome bumpers and trim. Steel 14" wheels wear faux-knockoff covers and are mounted with 205/75 radial whitewall tires. The car has power steering, and braking is provided by power-assisted front and rear drums. The white convertible top is complemented by a red top boot and a white tonneau cover. The cabin features a split-folding front bench seat and a rear bench upholstered in red and gray vinyl. The Bluetooth-capable retro-style head unit is wired to speakers hidden in the glovebox. Interior appointments include a locking glovebox, an analog clock, front and rear lap belts, an under-dash tissue dispenser, a heater, black carpeting, and red rubber floor mats. The two-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and frames a 120-mph speedometer flanked by gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 8k miles, and the seller states that the odometer was reset when the gauge was refurbished in 1984; true mileage is unknown. Stewart-Warner auxiliary gauges for oil pressure and water temperature are attached to a hinged mount positioned beneath the dashboard.
