Description
This 1966 Chevrolet Corvette is a white-on-red convertible that was produced in January 1966. Power is provided by a 427ci L72 V8 that is backed by a four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction differential. Equipment includes a white soft top, 15" Turbine-style aluminum wheels, and a side-exit exhaust system in addition to four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, power windows, and an AM/FM radio. The fiberglass body was finished from the factory in Ermine White (972), and features include a white soft top, a domed hood, flip-up headlights, chrome bumpers, and a side-exit exhaust system. Turbine-style 15" aluminum wheels feature knock-off spinners and are mounted with redline tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by four-wheel discs. The bucket seats are upholstered in red vinyl and joined by color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Appointments include a heater, an AM/FM radio, an analog clock, power windows, and lap belts. The woodgrain-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 38k miles, approximately 9k of which were added under current ownership. The 427ci L72 V8 sends power the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and an optional Positraction differential.
